Ir. Dr. Elaine Yeu Yee Lee received her BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from Curtin University of Technology (Sarawak Campus) in the year 2008. Then she joined Swinburne University of Technology (Sarawak Campus) (SUTS) as a teaching assistant in 2009 and, at the same time, pursued her PhD studies at the same place in the field of heat and mass transfer in porous media.
In 2011, she was absorbed as an Associate Lecturer and appointed as a Lecturer in 2014. Her teaching experience includes lecturing Physics and Engineering Mathematics in the Foundation of Engineering program. She has also been teaching in the broad area of Mechanical and Chemical engineering. Besides her teaching responsibilities, Elaine has been very involved in extra-curriculum and student development work.
In 2018, Elaine received her PhD in Engineering from Swinburne University of Technology (Sarawak Campus) and her dissertation research investigated the phase transition in porous media. Currently, her research focuses on thermal fluid, building services, biomass waste-to-wealth, and material science.
