Dr. Heidi Collins is the Director of Swinburne Sarawak’s School of Research. In this role she leads the development of research programs throughout the university. This includes overseeing Master by Research and PhD programs, as well as developing training and development programs to support HDR students, their supervisors, and other researchers within the university. She is also the Swinburne Sarawak’s Ethics & Integrity Officer.
Heidi teaches international human resource management and leadership units in the Faculty of Business, Design & Arts. Prior to joining Swinburne, Heidi has worked in a variety of roles and industries in New Zealand, Hong Kong, and Malaysia. This has included academic roles, and time spent in the international relocations, travel, and retail industries.
Heidi’s primary research focus to-date has been on the cross-cultural adjustment of expatriate employees and their families during international relocations. She is now researching HDR student and supervisor experiences, and research practice in the context of transnational education.
