Josephine practised as an advocate and solicitor with High Court of Sabah and Sarawak for a good number of years mainly dealing with civil law in both litigation and conveyancing, prior joining the academia. She has dealt with cases in relation to corporate matters, contract matters, bankruptcy & winding up, land matters, banking matters and contract drafting and negotiation works. She also passed the sitting of Certificate of Legal Practice with Malaysia Legal Qualifying Board after completing both her LLM studies with University of Malaya and LLB with University of London. She also has graduated from Bachelor of Commerce with Curtin University, double majoring in Accounting and Finance prior pursuing her passion in law. She has taught in Curtin Malaysia prior joining Swinburne University of Technology bringing with her extensive learning and teaching experience to commerce students. Josephine is also highly interested with the involvements in community works, SDG goals, ESGs and entrepreneurial projects where especially youths are spurred, encouraged and motivated as the next gen catalysts and nation builders. She has been involved with some of the local NGOs in providing food and education to urban poor, also involved briefly with educational well-being with women drug rehabilitators.
