I would like to provide an update on our investigations into the recent cyber incident.
We are mobilising a large team of staff to comb through each data point available to look for anomalies or signs of compromise, and again reiterate we are working as quickly as possible.
Over the years, Swinburne Sarawak has engaged with a lot of stakeholders including students, staff, vendors, collaborators and also the general public. That’s a lot of networking and subsequently, a lot of data. It is our social responsibility to check through every data point we have ever collected to safeguard our valued Swinburne Sarawak community.
When we determine exactly who is impacted and how, we will directly contact individuals to help guide them through the next steps and how they can safeguard their data. More staff, students and community members should expect to receive information from us next week.
