Biography

Cynthia graduated from University Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) with Honours in Bachelor of Education, majoring in TESL. She then went on to graduate from Bond University in Queensland, Australia with a Master of Arts degree, majoring in TESOL. During her time there, she also tutored overseas students in English at the Bond University English Language Institute (BUELI) Australia.

Cynthia’s personal academic interests are in the areas of digital identity and social media. In particular, she is keen on research in the area of academic identity and social network. She is also interested with interdisciplinary research in the area of fan-studies and digital media.
