Chean Hung obtained his Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Robotic and Mechatronics Engineering from Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus in 2006, and received his Ph.D in Engineering from Swinburne University of Technology in 2012.
Before joining Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus as a full-time academic staff, Chean Hung was a Senior Process Leader with Taiyo Yuden Sarawak in 2007, and a Project Engineer with Elite Industries Sdn. Bhd. in 2005.
In 2017, Dr. Lai was appointed as a Discipline Leader for Robotics and Mechatronics discipline in Faculty of Engineering, Computing, and Science at Swinburne Sarawak. His research interests include energy management systems and control, hybrid energy storage system, control systems, MEMS, robotics and automation, internet of things and smart systems.
