Biography

Dr. Sabeeha completed her Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical Engineering) with Honours at Curtin University, Australia.

She was conferred a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Monash University Malaysia. Her thesis consisted of the integration of dewatering and thermal pretreatment in the palm oil mill effluent treatment process to enhance the treated effluent quality and boost biogas production.

The technology developed in her Ph.D. was patented. She practiced as a senior chemical engineer in the R&D department in the industry.

Soon after, Sabeeha joined the Faculty of Engineering, Computing & Science at Swinburne University as a lecturer.

Her research interest lies in developing economically, technically, and environmentally feasible engineering solutions that align with the United Nations’ sustainable development goals.
